Education

He studied piano from four years, having Helen Waiss and Flora Guerra as teachers. Later, he studied Percussion at the Catholic University of Chile, with the teacher Guillermo Rifo. He is a graduated pianist by University of Chile.

Academic experience

In 1986 he worked as Art History assistant professor in the Faculty of Arts at University of Chile.

Between 1987 and 1989 he worked as a Basic and Medium Level Piano teacher in the Faculty of Arts at University of Chile. He was also accompanist pianist at the School of Dance, University of Chile

He also served as a piano teacher at the School of Music of the Copyright Chilean Society

Since 1998 he teaches Cultural management and Functional Piano in the Professional Institute Modern School of Music.

Professional experience

He has worked as a pianist, keyboard player and accompanist for several national and international artists in live concerts, such as Myriam Hernández, Luis Jara, Pablo Herrera, Fernando Ubiergo, Sergio and Estibaliz, Estela Raval y Nydia Caro. He has also been a pianist of the Viña del Mar International Song Festival band from 1990 until the date.

He is also a founder member of the Department of Culture National Music Promotion Council.

He is currently president of SCI’s, Chilean Society of Interpreters. He has been awarded Best Pianist of the Decade (1987-1997) by the Copyright Chilean Society.
